2/28/2017 11:45:00 AM - Amazon S3 Outage - Forms Cannot Generate

UPDATE (2:15 PM PST):

Form generation is back online.

Please let us know if you continue to experience any issues.

Amazon is not yet reporting 100% resolution for all their services on their dashboard (https://status.aws.amazon.com/) so we will continue to monitor our services and theirs to be sure this outage is over and doesn’t persist. I will personally follow up with another email about what happened when we know more and to discuss our plans to mitigate the risk of an Amazon service causing an outage for Quik!.

ORIGINAL INCIDENT (9:45 AM PST)
We’re aware of a problem with Amazon S3 that affects the ability for Quik! to generate forms. Since our forms and related files are stored in Amazon Web Service’s S3 (Simple Storage Solution) and their system is having issues, we are unable to generate forms as a result.

This problem affects millions of other customers who also rely upon S3 for storage (many of our customers also rely upon S3 and will have the same problems). We are monitoring the problem and awaiting a solution from Amazon. This is a rare occurrence and not something we’ve seen in the six years we’ve been hosting with Amazon.

As soon as this issue is resolved by Amazon and we can verify our services are back to normal, we’ll let you know.
